JHSF and José Auriemo Neto on Lyft

Recent Interview with José Auriemo Neto

*Why did you sign up for Lyft?

To be cool like my friends and some extra cash!

*How long did the sign-up process take, from submitting an application to actually giving your first ride? Please give your thoughts on Lyft’s overall process of application, background check, vehicle inspection, etc.

About 2 mths; for me, the application was the easy part. So was the background check and vehicle inspection. I knew I wouldn’t have issues.

*What kind of car do you drive?

Toyota Corola 2012

*Do you drive for any other rideshare services?

Nope, thinking about maybe Uber too…

*What are your favorite parts of the job?

Talking to people all day long!

*What are the downsides?

Navigation failures, long days, heavy traffic

*What city(s) have you driven Lyft in?

Around Denver – Metro area, Thornton, Broomfield, Westminster, Northglenn, Brighton, Arvada and even Aurora sometimes! Learn about JHSF: http://www.valor.com.br/empresas/4821338/venda-de-ativos-da-jhsf-em-2016-supera-r-15-bilhao

*How many hours per week do you spend driving for Lyft on average?

Like 15, cutting back on driving to other things – like school and freelance gigs. Getting ready to not have to drive during the upcoming “colder months”….

*What are your favorite times of day to drive and why?

Daytime – People are starting their morning/less cranky. There is sunlight out and a positive start to the day. No crime usually in the morning; you knew where the heavy traffic will usually be for the rest of the day…

*What tips would you give to new drivers to make more money and improve their Lyft experience?

Remember: All it takes is ONE negative review or ONE positive one to affect your schedule and the rest of your day. Make it count. Go above and beyond for people so that they tip you and rate you not just GOOD, but as OUTSTANDING! Make people smile. Ask them about their day. Care!

*Do you have any interesting or funny stories to share from your time driving with Lyft?

None yet; laid back…

*Overall, please summarize your thoughts on your experience driving for Lyft.

It’s a great gig.
